Fish
The people of Peace continue to support the FISH program with contributions of food, clothing, and monetary offerings. The FISH organization of Eugene/Springfield is an all-volunteer, non-denominational church supported organization. There are several persons from Peace who volunteer for FISH. More volunteers are always needed to answer phones, package food, or distribute food. If you would like to help, please contact Nancy Goddard.

Volunteers Needed
FISH needs volunteers to monitor the phone in 2.5 hour shifts at its office at Trinity Methodist (440 Maxwell Rd.). Volunteers are needed for the 10:00 to 12:30 shift for the 2nd Thursday and the 2nd and 5th Friday of each month. Monitors are needed for the 12:30 to 3:00 shift for the 2nd and 4th Monday and the 2nd , 4th, and 5th Friday of each month. In addition, we need several "on call" monitors who can fill in as needed when a scheduled monitor is ill or out of town. Please contact Jane Holmes at 933-3324 (holmes3324@msn.com) if you can help. Two and a half hours one or more times a month can make a huge difference.
Habitat for Humanity
Peace Presbyterian Church became active in the work of Habitat for Humanity in 1994. The Walnut Grove Project is the fourth house members of Peace have helped construct. Since the houses are built primarily by volunteers, most materials are obtained at no more than cost. Habitat loans are interest free and the houses are very affordable.
Rainbow Village
Peace provides monetary support to Rainbow Village, a low income housing project. We also provide Christmas boxes and work on other special events.
Awbrey Park & Spring Creek Elementary Schools
Peace members supply school supplies for those children at Spring Creek and Awbrey Elementary Schools who need aid.
"We see the importance of helping those less fortunate in our community, and when a need arises we respond with loving and caring hearts."
