Liz Leavitt began as our Interim Minister in January 2012, after serving as Co-Pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Waltham, Massachusetts and an Adjunct Professor of World Religions at Bunker Hill Community College in Charlestown, MA. Liz earned a Master of Divinity from Harvard Divinity School, and a Bachelors degree from University of Oregon, where she studied in the Honors College and majored in Political Science and Spanish. Before attending seminary, Liz had a variety of experiences working with children, youth and young adults both within the church and outside of it.

Liz is a fine worship leader and preacher, a wonderful small group leader, and a warm pastoral presence. She has a love of scripture and its meaning and a positive sense of humor which is contagious.

Liz is an avid cook and an amateur cyclist. She is married to Jason Leavitt, a Eugene native, and they enjoy spending time outdoors with Roxy, their Bernese Mountain Dog.
